Healing begins with curiosity, not perfection.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out. Sometimes healing begins with a place where you can slow down, ask honest questions, and feel truly heard.
Come as you are—we’ll take the next step together.
🌲 Individual Therapy ❤️ Couples Therapy 🌿 Group Therapy 🛡️ First Responders & High-Stress Professionals
Grounded. Enduring. Built to hold.
Ironwood is known for its strength and durability—slow-growing, deeply rooted, and able to withstand pressure over time. It reflects the kind of work done here: steady, grounded, and built to hold what’s been carried, while supporting meaningful change.
If You’ve Been Carrying A Lot…
Maybe you’ve been functioning for a long time while feeling exhausted underneath it. Maybe your mind won’t slow down, your relationships feel strained, or you’ve gotten used to pushing through things you’ve never really had space to process.
You may be carrying grief, trauma, anxiety, burnout, or the cumulative weight of always being the one others rely on.
Sometimes people come here because something significant happened. Sometimes they come because nothing feels terribly wrong—but they know they aren’t fully okay either. Sometimes they come because they want to be as prepared as possible for the next thing.
This work offers space to slow down, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and find a way forward that feels more steady, connected, and sustainable.
Getting Started
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but the process is designed to be simple and straightforward.
1. Request an Appointment or Free Consultation
Click Schedule Now to request your first appointment or a free 15-minute consultation. If you're unsure whether we're a good fit, the consultation is a great opportunity to ask questions and discuss what you're looking for in therapy.
2. Create Your Secure Client Portal
You'll be invited to create a secure client portal through Headway, which manages appointment scheduling, reminders, insurance billing (when applicable), and secure communication.
3. Complete Your Paperwork
Before your first appointment, you'll receive informed consent and intake forms to complete electronically. Completing these forms in advance allows us to make the most of your time during our first session.
4. Your Consultation or First Session
If you've requested a consultation, I'll call you from a secure, HIPAA-compliant phone number at your scheduled time. During the consultation, we'll discuss your concerns, answer any questions you have, and determine whether we're a good fit for working together.
If you've scheduled an intake appointment, our first session will focus on understanding your story, your goals, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we'll begin developing a plan that feels supportive, practical, and tailored to your needs.
Insurance & Self-Pay
Ironwood Therapy and Training accepts select insurance plans through Headway. Self-pay appointments are also available. For clients using out-of-network insurance benefits, a superbill can be provided upon request for possible reimbursement. Payment policies and fees will be reviewed before services begin.
Questions before scheduling? You're welcome to request a free 15-minute consultation. I can help you determine whether Ironwood Therapy and Training is the right fit for you.
